Katrina Garven is the Director and Principal Database Consultant of Alias Database Services and has over 20 years of mining industry experience. Katrina has held operational roles across exploration, underground and open pit mining, resource development and has worked extensively as a geological database consultant.
Katrina previously worked with Acquire Technology Solutions as a Principal Geological Data Analyst for four years, where she was responsible for scoping, workflow analysis, onsite implementations, customisation, user training and support of Acquire GIM Suite at more than 30 mining and exploration projects throughout Australia and internationally.
Katrina has developed an expert level of knowledge of Acquire GIM Suite across different commodities and complex operating environments and has assisted numerous clients with optimising data workflows, database functionality and technology integration.
Katrina is a GIM Suite Professional and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology) from Curtin University and Microsoft Certified Professional accreditation in SQL Server databases.
Meg Schick is a Senior Database Consultant and Geologist with over 10 years of mining industry experience. She has held operational roles across exploration, open pit mining and resource definition and has worked extensively in geological database and data management roles.
Meg has developed strong expertise with Acquire GIM Suite through her work supporting mining and exploration operations. Her experience includes database administration, data validation, QAQC, workflow analysis and optimisation, database enhancements, user training and support across geological and technical teams.
Meg has also been involved in database migrations, historical data validation and the integration of geological databases with external applications and technologies. She has experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Power Automate, Power BI, Leapfrog, Imago and QGIS. Meg is a GIM Suite Professional and holds a Bachelor of GeoScience from the University of New England.
