Description

This training session covers the creation of QAQC objects, script objects and the more advanced applications for other acQuire objects. Also included is configuration of an SQL database, creation of grid transforms and derived fields and installation and implementation of data model derivatives and optional acQuire modules.

12 training days, plus activity and assessment work

Who should attend?

This training session is designed for acQuire database managers who would like to have a high level of acQuire skills and knowledge.

Prerequisite

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this training session, participants should be able to:

  1. Create workspace objects to an advanced level.
    • Create and use objects to an advanced level (e.g. import, data entry, script, report).
    • Create and use a script object to run a query or execute a script.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of quality control/quality assurance (QAQC).
    • Create and use QAQC objects to review analytical quality (i.e. precision and accuracy).
    • Install, configure/create and use a Depth Adjustment Tool (DAT) object.
    • Start acQuire and run acQuire objects using command line (cmd)
    • Create and configure the depth adjustment tool for site requirements.(optional)
    • Use the depth adjustment tool to adjust logged intervals against downhole wireline geophysics and revert when necessary.(optional)
  2. Create grid transforms and derived fields.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of geodetic systems.
    • Create and apply grid transformations.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of derived fields.
    • Create and use derived fields.
  3. Configure SQL database.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of SQL administration.
    • Write simple SQL scripts to query and update data.
    • Use the stored procedures provided by acQuire.
    • Write simple stored procedures/functions and cursors.
  4. Install and implement data model derivatives and optional acQuire modules.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of acQuire metadata.
    • Install and use object tracking/record tracking.
    • Install and use optional module(s) (e.g. coal, geophysics, DAT).
