Description

This training session provides a detailed introduction to acQuire for acQuire database managers. The session covers the fundamental concepts, methods and structure of acQuire, with a detailed coverage of the acQuire Data Model (ADM). This includes the functions that an acQuire user needs to know to use acQuire in an implemented environment. Also included is an overview of the use of acQuire manager tools to configure an existing implementation and the creation of a simple workspace object (e.g. import).

Who should attend?

This training session is designed for acQuire database managers who have partcipated in the Operation of acQuire (aQ100) training session. This session will also be of benefit to current acQuire users and/or database managers who want to improve their understanding of acQuire.

Note: This training session, as part of acQuire Concepts (aQ1001), is a prerequisite for further training in acQuire.

Prerequisite

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this training session, participants should be able to:

  1. Use acQuire in an implemented environment.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the acQuire Data Model (ADM).
    • Use workspace objects (e.g. data entry, script, LogReporter, report, QAQC).
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of acQuire configuration tools.
    • Use 'Manage' tools (e.g. virtual fields wizard, validation and styling wizard, create form definitions, create derived fields).
    • Demonstrate an understanding of how to create a simple workspace object (e.g. import).
