Field Office

The field office has all the IT equipment required by the field team to record, interrogate and analyse geological data and to administer the project. The Motion docking station uploads your field data into the acQuire database when you dock the tablet. The acQuire database on the field server is synchronised daily with the corporate office server, ensuring that your precious data is backed up off-site and available for review by the senior geological team.

The satellite link ensures that the corporate office always has the current geological picture and also enables acQuire’s Managed Services team to keep all the IT equipment running efficiently.

The field office has a UPS to protect your data from power-supply spikes that are commonly produced by diesel generators. In addition to offline back up, the field office also has a tape backup.

Satellite

acQuire Managed Services uses Inmarsat’s BGAN because it provides global coverage that can be accessed through a small (A4 sized) antenna. The Trane and Trane satellite antenna can be installed in a matter of minutes and an inbuilt compass helps you train the antenna on the satellite. We include a pole mount kit in case you need to mount the antenna outside for better reception.
